Yarris customers are entitled to use the Yarris Reporting Engine to create reports 'on the fly' using 'drag and drop'.
Getting the information out of the system is key. When you know the facts you can improve processes and change behaviours.
Yarris uses OLAP or 'Online Analytic Processing', a form of database which allows business users and analysts to slice and dice large aggregations of data - looking at it from different perspectives and at different levels of granularity in real time.
OLAP is designed to give a view of the data as a whole. To derive answers to questions such as 'What town has the highest average deliverable cost' data cubes are created. A cube is simply a data structure where the facts are linked to a number of dimensions. The dimensions are linked together to form the cube and define all the different possibilities by which the measures may be sliced.
Why is this special? Because normally organizations store data in different formats which makes unified reporting difficult or impossible.
The combination of OLAP cubes and powerful reporting tools which are optimized to view this type of data results in a valuable business tool. It can produce reports on the fly.
OLAP analysis allows organizations to explore trends, patterns, anomalies and correlations in data by allowing users to drill, pivot, filter and chart data in real time.
The intuitive Yarris interface allows non-technical suers to ask complex business questions and store the views to be run later or shared amongst other users. |
