Danni Robson
Head of Product, Arnie

I'm Danni Robson, Head of Product for Arnie at Yarris Technologies. I lead a sales, account management and development team to change the way motor insurance claims are handled by insurers and their customers using cloud-based software technology and great engagement with our industry and customers.

I've been at Yarris in this role since July 2021. Starting in the midst of lockdown and getting to meet a new team virtually has been a unique experience, but one that I've been pleasantly surprised has been quite seamless and it feels like I've been with the team for much longer, in a good way.

My career led me to the insurance industry by accident, you could say. I went straight into the workforce and have since been learning through tertiary education, on-the-job training, and through the privilege of marvelous mentors throughout my career so far. My mentors have led me to the role I am in today and the fruitful career I have had so far in leadership, business management, sales and customer experience on an enterprise level through business improvement.

I've never been one to plan my career in the mid or long term, however I'm always aware of learning what I love to do, what I'm good at, what I'm interested in and working to my strengths when considering what opportunities may present themselves in my future career plan. I love working with people, I love strategizing and facilitating teams to solve some of the biggest problems through challenging thoughts, ideas and influencing decisions, and I see myself in roles doing just this for some time yet.

I love the variety of the role as a Head of Product. I balance technical, strategic, sales, customer experience, leadership, research, data, business improvement, operations and test new ideas to challenge the way to our product vision. Likewise, the most challenging part of my role can be trying to balance different mindsets and always being able to zoom out and have a 360 degree view of the business, product, customers, industry and rub my crystal ball into the future of all.

Outside of the virtual office, I'm considered to be quite the daredevil. I have a motorbike license and love spending weekends in the hills heading out for rides with my better half, exploring new outdoor sanctuaries in our swag with our german shepherd, and an embarrassing amount of time is spent fussing over our exotic Persian cat at home with a cup of tea.
